Bioshock is based around the genius of man named Andrew Ryand and set in the 1960s era,Rapture is a underwater utopia that was created because Ryan felt the authorities of polictical and religious secs was getting out of hand.The city was populated by those whom Ryan believed exemplified the best in humanity. Basically all the smart and good natured folks and soon they created a lovely little thing EVE that not only gave its users the ability of fire or ice but to move things with their minds.In order to improve ADAM yields, Rapture scientists created the "Little Sisters," young girls, each with a slug embedded in their body. You start out as Jack whos plane has just went down and your in those now gone haywire "Eden" and the citizens has either went mad or have converted themselves into humanoid creatures based around the EVE. And your journey begins as a guy by the name of Atlas assists you through this world of unknown and your going to run into alot of things that will either make you laugh,shake your head or creep you out in some since.

The main thing is the Big Daddies,when you feel and hear their stomping and moaining/groaning you already know whats coming. Good thing is they don’t bother you unless you bother them or the Little Sisters they protect.
